About
The mission of the Industrial Electrical Maintenance and Automated Control Systems program is to provide diversified maintenance training to students to meet the occupational needs of prospective employers in the extensive area.
This course will provide a thorough understanding of the methods of diagnosing, installation, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment. Each unit of study is approached by starting with the basic theory involved. Students receive actual experience on equipment with factory-approved methods of repairing and maintaining them.
Incorporating classroom instruction and shop learning experiences utilizing actual equipment and training devices, the program is designed in its entirety for the student who is preparing for a career in industry. The program is four trimesters (432 hours each) however the student can receive the first diploma (Industrial Maintenance Technician Diploma) at 1296 hours and then if so choose take an additional trimester (432 hours) to receive a Automation and Controls Technician Diploma.
There is a day and evening class available at the main campus and day class availability at Cookeville Higher Education Center and the Livingston campus.

Program Credentials
New students enroll every month as space is available.
The full-time Industrial Automation day students meet 30 hours per week Monday –Friday 7:45am to 2:15pm
The full-time Industrial Automation evening students meet 1pm to 9pm Monday through Thursday. To accommodate those who work first shift jobs, students may attend on a part-time modified schedule. Schedules must be approved prior to enrollment with the finanicial aid office. These students must attend 15 hours per week which makes them eligible to apply for financial aid.
