The mission of the Cosmetology Program is to train students for employment as entry-level cosmetologists.The Cosmetology program is designed to help the student master all the skills necessary for passing the State Board Examination, selecting the phase or phases of Cosmetology in which to specialize, and entering employment. Classroom instruction and practical learning experiences are interwoven into a variety of beauty treatments, including the care and beautification of the hair, complexion, and hands. Safety and customer relations are also emphasized throughout the program.

Livingston Campus:
The mission of the Cosmetology Program is to train students for employment as entry-level cosmetologists. Classroom and practical learning experiences are concerned with a variety of beauty treatments which may include the care and beautification of the hair, complexion, and hands. The basic instruction includes training in giving shampoos, rinses, and scalp treatments; hair styling, setting, cutting, tinting, lightening and permanent waving; facials; manicures; and hand and arm massages. The entire program is geared toward preparing students to receive a diploma from the College, to pass the Tennessee Board of Cosmetology Licensing Examination, and to go to work as a Cosmetologist.

Provide an official copy in a sealed envelope of one of the following:
A High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma transcript with a score of at least 450 with no score less than 410 in any area
A high school transcript with proof of completion of at least the 10th grade with 12 high school credits
Provide one of the following for proof of age:
A copy of your Driver's License
A copy of your birth certificate
A high school transcript with the birth date listed
Provide a copy of your Social Security Card.
Provide one of the following for a recent photograph.
